Three Speed Spotted: Ladies Dunelt

On a lovely summer like Sunday while cruising through Beaumont-Wilshire, I saw this lovely parked in front of the market. While a Dunelt in and of itself isn’t extraordinary, I love how it exemplifies the idea of a humble, useful, and loved three speed. You can tell this bike gets regular use by the details: the bungee cords on the basket, the trouser clip on handlebar, ready for the owner when she comes back from her errands. Speaking of which, I did catch a glimpse of the owner, an older woman who ran into the market for some groceries. I say if you never use your three speed for grocery shopping, you’re doing something wrong! 😉
