Here is my contribution to keeping these trusty old rides useful. This is a late ’50’s or early 60’s Hercules I rebuilt with some upgraded components. The cranks are TA, the pedals Atom 700, all French threaded (Hey, it’s what I had trash picked.) The stem is Nitto, the levers Weinmann, the brakes Universal. The Sturmey-Archer hub is one of the last made in England-bought in the early 80’s on a close out. The rims are some from a small batch that Sun Rims ran for Wheelsmith. My son uses it on the campus at Auburn University (He’s a staff member) and enjoys the bike. Please excuse the “Sports Special” transfers, they were fitted to old Humber bicycles. Pictured next to more pedestrian machinery!
