
I received word on Monday that Noel Robinson, the founder and elder statesman of the Lake Pepin Three Speed Tour had passed away.
While in his tent at Dave Sievings family farm, Noel passed away quietly in his sleep last night. Today was to be day 1 of a 4 day tour in and around Lanesboro (Minn.)

I had met Noel on my first Tour in 2014 and chatted with him as much as I could. Even though he was no spring chicken, he still did the whole ride each year. Eventually we corresponded frequently by mail, Noel being old-school enough that the digital world hadn’t grabbed hold of him.
